How to Find Us
If Flying into Varanasi:
- Use pre-paid taxi booths at the airport to get an AC taxi to Gate #2 of Vidyapeeth University.
- Alternatively, we offer a pick-up service for ₹1,600. Our staff will meet you outside the terminal with a placard.
If Taking a Train to Varanasi:
- From Varanasi Junction Railway Station (BSB):
- Exit the station, turn right, and at the Y-intersection, take the left exit into the city.
- Continue past ‘Englishiyaline crossing’ onto Vidyapeeth Road. Look for Gate #2 of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth University (MGKVP), or just Vidyapeeth University on your left. The gate unmistakably stands there just about 300 m down the road – you can’t miss it!
- Opposite the gate, enter the alley and follow the ITH signage. The hostel is about 100 metres inside, on the left.
Rickshaws, auto-rickshaws (tuk-tuks), and taxis are readily available just outside of the railway station. We recommend walking though unless manoeuvring through the streets of Varanasi is a challenge you consider not worth taking.
- From Banaras Railway Station (BSBS):
- Exit the station and take a tuk-tuk or taxi to Gate #2 of Vidyapeeth University.
- Then follow directions from BSB above.
Formerly: Manduadih Railway Station (MUV)
- From Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction Railway Station (DDU)
- Exit the station and take a tuk-tuk or taxi to Gate #2 of Vidyapeeth University.
- Then follow directions from BSB above.
- You can also take a local train to Varanasi Junction Railway Station and follow the directions above.
Formerly: Mughal Sarai Junction Railway Station (MGS)
If taking a Bus to Varanasi:
Most buses will drop you off near Varanasi Junction Railway Station. Follow the directions from BSB above.
Boating to Varanasi?
Haha, we kid you not. It’s quite doable (at least from nearby cities like Prayagraj). This is a very unlikely scenario, but just in case you do arrive on a boat, let us know and in honour of your adventurous spirit we’ll pick you up for free! Make sure to de-board at Assi Ghat.
